Who We Are
HK Consulting is a bespoke, trauma-informed educational consulting firm led by Laura Harrington-Knopf, MA, MA. We design inclusive, individualized, democratic learning pods and microschools built around the whole child, and serve NYC families with advocacy, private school liaison, KidCare Concierge™ services, executive function coaching, and worldschooling support. Created by our Columbia-trained literacy specialist and pioneer in assistive technology — AMI Montessori certified, trained in the Reggio Emilia approach, an Orton-Gillingham teacher trainer, and former content and curriculum creator for Sesame Workshop and Time for Kids.
